Of the 71 victories in his career, there are four major championships: the 1994 US Open at Oakmont and 1997 at the Congregation, and the 2002 Open Championship at Muirfield and 2012 at Royal Lytham & St Annes. He is one of six golfers to win the US Open and the Open Championship twice. Other highlights of Els' career include winning the 2003 and 2004 European tour Duchies and winning a World Championship seven times per game.
