Premgi Amaren is one of the most popular and richest Indian playback singer who was born on February 25, 1979 in India. After appearing as the lead character in Venkat Prabhu’s Goa (2010), he went on to appear in Mankatha (2011)and Settai (2013). He made his Malayalam debut with North 24 Kaatham in 2013. He plays the role of the Maanga’s lead character, and is also the music composer. He is currently a part of Chennai 600028 II, Second Innings. This sequel to Chennai 600028 is his current film.
However, he made his acting début in Silambarasan’s Vallavan in 2006 as the heroine’s friend. He then starred in Venkat Prabhu’s directorial debut Chennai 600028 (2007) in which he played Seenu. Premgi’s comedy acting skills were established by the movie, which went on to be the biggest summer blockbuster of 2006. His next film, Saroja, he teamed up with his brother. He received accolades for playing Ganesh Kumar.
He became an independent music director for Gnabagam Varuthe in 2005. His brother was the star. He composed music for Agathiyan’s Nenjathai Kilathe and Thozha, where he also played a leading role. He composed the music for an episode entitled Planet Galatta II- Adra Sakkae, which was broadcast on Singapore’s satellite channel “Mediacorp Vasantham”.
